Make My Monday: Ice Cream

Hello again.  Today's theme at Make My Monday is Ice Cream.  You can either create something ice cream themed or something inspired by ice cream, eg. using ice cream colours.

I made my card using a paper set that I got free with a magazine a few years ago, and embellished it with some die cut flowers and pearls.

Cardz 4 Galz: Sunny Summer Days

Good morning.  Today's challenge at Cardz 4 Galz is Sunny Summer Days.

I created my background with an embossing folder and blended Distress Inks.  The butterflies are stamped and die cut and the flowers are stamped.  I also stamped the Happy Birthday Sentiment at the bottom.  I added a bit of glitter to the butterflies and the centres of the flowers and added some flower stamens for the butterflies' antennae.

Cardz 4 Guyz: Metallic Madness

Hi everyone!  today it's my turn to choose the theme at Cardz 4 Guyz  I've chosen a theme of Metallic Madness - use something metal or metallic on your card.

I decided to do some metal embossing, which is something I hadn't done for quite a while.  I started with a piece of thin copper, stamped an image on the back with Stazon ink, then placed my them stamped metal on a foam mat and used an embossing tool to go over the stamped image.  I added the frame using a roller tool.

I wanted to make the embossed panel look old, so I painted it with black acrylic paint and then rubbed it off with a piece of kitchen roll.  I left it to dry, then matted and layered it onto black and gold card.

To create the background of the card, I dabbed Versamark ink through a stencil then gently brushed on  mica powder in various metallic colours.

To finish off my card I added some die cut cogs and wheels and a stick on sentiment.

Make My Monday

Hi all.  today's challenge at Make My Monday is emboss resist. 

I stamped the flowers on my card using Versamark ink, then embossed them using clear embossing powder.  I then inked my card using Distress Inks in rainbow colours.  I sprinkled water over my background and then  added some die cut words.

Cardz 4 Galz: Pretty and Pearly

Good morning.  Today's theme at Cardz 4 Galz is Pretty and Pearly. 

I used an image by Ching Chou Kuik for my card, which I coloured with Prismacolor pencils. 

As you can see, I layered her onto patterned papers and added some pearls and die cut butterflies.

Cardz 4 Guyz: Father's Day

Hi everyone.  We're coming up to Father's Day, so that's our theme this week at Cardz 4 Guyz.  I'm sharing a card I've made for my own dad.  I don't think he looks at my blog, so I should be OK!

The image I've used on this card is a digi stamp by Bloobel Stamps.  I've colured him with Prismacolor pencils.

I layered my image onto patterned papers and added a couple of cat buttons that I've had in my stash for a while.
