Watching You

This is an ATC I made this afternoon. The skull is hand drawn in pencil, and I've used pencil, coloured pencil and pens for the eyes and stuck them on. The background is ink, acrylic paint and rubber stamping.

I've been feeling very creative over the last couple of weeks, so I think I'm finally back on track!

I Dare You Swap: Katherine's Challenge

This is what I made for Katherine for Nicks' I Dare You swap (details below). Katherine's challenge to me was to create something using hand drawn elements only. I have to admit, I struggled a bit with this one (I think it was the "only" bit that did it!)
I decided on a gothic arch as I wanted to do something bigger than an ATC but without it being TOO big (because I was scared). The lady in the middle is a pencil drawing and I've inked around her to brighten her up a bit. The flowers and vines around the edges are drawn in ink and coloured using Sharpie pens and I drew the individual petals of the large flower at the bottom and then inked them and stuck them together to make the flower. The swirls and the tiny butterfly at the bottom are also drawn in ink and coloured with Sharpie pens.

Pencil Drawing

I blame Paula for this, er... I mean thank you you Paula for inspiring me to do some pencil drawing for the first time in years! (Seriously, I did enjoy doing it very much). This is pretty much the first pencil drawing I've done since leaving school lots of years ago, so I'm a bit rusty, but I don't think it's too bad. It's ATC size as I'm hoping to swap it with Paula (LOL).

I've drawn it from a photo of a Roman statue of Apollo, but my picture looks much less angelic and more manly than the statue. I think it looks more like David Hasselhoff in his Baywatch days, yeek! Ah well, never mind. At least it looks like a man.
